Razzle 3:41 Mon Apr 3 - agreed, we'll get nothing from Wednesday.

I feel a bit sorry for Soucek. He's completely lost form and confidence and crying out for a rest but fucking Moyes keeps hoping he's morph into the new Fellani and all Moyes's problems will disappear.

It's just beyond me how Sullivan accepts Moyes's incompetence and how the sports media almost totally ignore it and worse, continue to big the c**t up every chance they get.

We're absolute shite to watch every fucking week.

Surely the players are sick to death of this wanker as well.

onsideman

It took Moyes about 6 months to realise he could use 5 subs this season, so I wouldn't hold your breath with him understanding that we have limited opportunities to use them.

I've got a shilling says 5 at the back.
With a midfield of Rice, Downes, Soucek & kehrer
with Antonio up top.

Wonder Boy strikes again fuckin Prick

We have a very obvious replacement for Soucek in the 10 role. His name is Gianluca Scamacca...drops deep, links the play 6'4ish, good at arriving late in the box, good shot from distance.

Ings up top and Scamacca playing in the space behind is so obvious it beggars belief. Moyes then doesn't lose any height out of the side (which is important to him), with Soucek's current match involvement, he doesn't even lose any workrate! And he gains someone who actually knows how to play up top and link play with a front man.

These cunts have run into some form now, so not a good time to play them. Draw at best, but realistically it looks like a defeat.

Teams around us have some winnable games tomorrow, so come 21.35 on Wednesday we could be down to 16th/17th with pressure on the Fulham game.

West Ham are unbeaten in five Premier League home games in 2023, having collected eleven points from a possible 15.

Right let’s get to starting the predicted team.

Easy ones … Rice and of course …. Soucek !!! :-(.

Imo Soucek has returned to form. He just had a season where he was a bit of an unknown quantity. Once worked out what he does and how slow he is teams love him in our first 11.

He’s not Premiership level imo and never really was. He did a decent job when Moyes counter attack tactics worked but was a one season wonder I suspect

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Newcastle - Official Match Thread - Preview
If he insists on playing 3 centre mid and 1 up front, let’s hope Downes replaces lurch

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Newcastle - Official Match Thread - Preview
Assuming no injuries from yesterday. I think he'll just rotate some players without particular rhyme or reason and not others.

Fabianski

Coufal (makes sense to keep Kehrer after a mare and drop him after a decent showing)
Aguerd
Ogbonna (Reckon one of the CB gets a rest- probably Zouma in case ongoing management, although I'd like our top pairing to play whenever they can)
Cresswell (I'd go Emerson but he'll want to be 'solid')

Rice
Soucek
Paqueta (These three are obvious)

Bowen (Flogged to death)
Antonio (Rotate with Ings- fair play and assumign Scamacca is out)
Fornals/Cornet (Reckon Fornals as Cornet won't 'work' hard enough off the ball)

Probably not close and he might not rotate the centre backs but let's see.

Fabianski
Coufal Zouma Aguerd Emerson
Rice Paqueta
Bowen Benrahma Cornet
Scamacca

Cornet to use his pace to trip up Trippier. Scamacca to come deep, pulling their defenders out then laying off to our 3 AMs, all of whom can run with the ball. Moyes to beam and smile and laugh and do a jig all the way through. The Geordies won't know what's hit them. Easy win.

Looking forward to this. Atmosphere always better under the lights and after Sunday’s result the team should be much less nervous. They’ll come at us which will suit our (negative, defensive) style. Reckon we’ll draw this and win at Fulham. Happy days (kind of).

We will be fortunate to get anything out of this game, but I live in hope. I was impressed by their performance against Man Utd, where they seemed full of energy and running.
Having said that, we seem to be fairly striping at home, just now.
Never a pessimist, remember we have a game, or two, in hand of those teams around us.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Newcastle - Official Match Thread - Preview
They were superb yesterday and should really have won by 5 or 6. Best hope is that they put everything into that as their big game to get in the top 4 and they drop off against us. Can't see it necessarily as they have good characters
